Damp forest soil and the light of the evening sun.. If you follow the old path to the mountains it will lead you to the caves of the Ylreen. Just stay silent for a while and you might get the chance to see one.
Yes, I had a budgy once :P He was blue and turquoise and the most cheerful little creature you can imagine.
Btw, I'm picking up speed: this was done in less than a week alongside some other projects. Programs used: Photoshop and a bit of Painter (mainly for the creation of textures).
To get the anatomy right, I looked at some of my own images. The birdie is mostly fantasy but I studied some pictures of seagulwings first.
